The new song by “Old Town Road” rapper Lil Nas X has hit the radio waves by storm. The song, titled “Panini” talks of how the rapper’s indie fans are a bit disappointed by his current mainstream success. Although the title of the track brings to mind the food of the same name, the rapper clarified in a tweet that the title refers to a cartoon character of the same name.
Lil Nas X is not the only one to mix food and art. Many artists capture food beautifully and this type of original artwork can be a great way to accent your space. Although mouthwatering food art can be perfect for a kitchen, it can also become quite a nice surprise when hung in a different part of the house.
When deciding what type of food to go with, keep two things in mind: color and your own personal taste. First, if your bathroom’s entire color scheme is yellows and pinks, then perhaps a painting a peach would be a great fit, but don’t discount a pop of contrast like a painting of a juicy green apple.
Second, although the color is important, so is authenticity. Do you want artwork of food you don’t even like in your house? All in all, balancing color with the food of your dreams can create quite an impact!
It goes without saying that our tastes in food are as varied and exotic as the original art we collect. Find the art and tastes of your dreams here on Zatista!
