Artist Statement:
I have enjoyed a successful career as a graphic artist since 1995. Working in both 2D and 3D digital mediums, my work has been featured in trade publications, periodicals, published works, as well as digital platforms working with clients all over the world.
I began painting in 2002 and fell naturally into abstracts, with an early focus on abstract figuratives. Since then my work has expanded to abstract expressionism. Drawing from a variety of techniques to suit a piece, I may use brushes, sponges, palette knives, scrapers, and pour/drip methods. And while my commercial graphics work is focused on a specific result, my paintings evolve more naturally with successive layers building texture and complexity to arrive at as much an emotional expression as a visual one.
