Artist Statement:
Roxene Sloate has been exhibiting and selling her work since the 1980"s. Color is her passion. She explores the variety and excitement of mark making that comes from using the paint in many different ways, especially working wet on wet. Pouring paint adds another dimension to her paintings. Roxene's pastels manifest the joy and energy of color relationships The natural beauty of her environment and painting from life always inform her imagination.
