Artist Statement:
The themes of my works are directly influenced by everything that surrounds me. However the most important source of my inspiration is always the human being with his peculiar nature, his feelings and sensations. My researches don’t aim at reconstructing reality neither at describing it but they regard painting as a study of emotions and sensual experiences. It’s a sort of secret diary that gathers all the complexities and differences of human emotions. The painting process is slow and dilated and is the result of memories and layered emotions. Those ones emerge into consciousness and are placed on the canvas suggesting atmospheres and imagined places.
Often I use every possible recycled material such as wood, metal, plastic, gauze and all that is considered by the modern society as dead and unwrapped, which instead is regarded as a noble object bearing a story worthy of being told. I'm an artist and a designer who imagines unique paintings that are able to satisfy the search for exclusivity.
My works are in private collections in ITALY, UK, GERMANY, ARIZONA, LOS ANGELES, BOSTON, SINGAPORE, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, SWITZERLAND, CANADA.
Education:
I was born in Rome, where I could take care and nurture an artistic research begun in an Art Institute, The Academy of Fine Art in Rome, and evolved towards a training programme aimed at painting.
Passion and unconditional dedication to art and design have first approached the furnishing sector and interiors designing by creating limited edition furniture. A professional experience looking for taste and style and a stimulus for creativity.
Afterwards I returned to express myself through painting, trying to unite and strengthen research and memory.
After a figurative season I have started communicating through abstract art in its different colours and appearance by painting and narrating my interior landscapes.
Today my works stand for an experiment based on the use of extra pictorial elements. The use of recycled materials, such as paper, wood, gauze, metal, plastic and anything that modern man considers dead and unwrapped, is seen as a noble and regarded as a story worthy of being told.
