Artist Statement:
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
At the age of 20 Gonzalo moves to Los Angeles, California, where he studies under figurative abstract painter Courtney Reid. During this period he learns the importance of the paint and its practical but mystical relationship with the painter.
Gonzalo's work is built from an instinctual response to paint and its powerful spiritual evocations.
Today Gonzalo lives and works at his studio in Burbank, California, sharing his life with Vera Rodriguez and his daughter Valentina.
