Artist Statement:
I combine many styles. Structuralism, constructivism, cubism, surrealism, Hoffman’s style of abstraction, Van gogh’s way of paint application and de Kooning’s insistence of color.
I have widely wandered through futurism and cubism and to them I owe the complex simplicity
and simple complexity of form.
I not only want to express myself, my mind, my feelings, but along with these and perhaps, before them, I want to express my historical times. I need to convey in my art societal advancement, technological breakthroughs, progress in new territory, regress or enrichment in human relationships.
---He believes art is a whole, and a work of art is complete in its incompleteness. He believes in modern art's dangerous freedom of expression.He has a sense of art's historical development and his ambition is to overcome post-modern impasses.
His initial love and engagement to poetry manifests silently in colors and shapes. He energetically accepts the existence of the Muse and her inspirational kicks. while he energizes the unconscious almost in a "ritualistic" way to attain a synthetic, yet simple, form of truth.
