If you wandered the streets (early) two Thursday evenings ago, in many family neighborhoods you would have seen excitement at an all-time high. Children were eagerly running from house to house, enjoying that atmosphere that is uniquely Halloween; laughing with friends, family and neighbors, while filling their bags with treats. Most had big grins on their faces. For many, they had been waiting months for this day…some, perhaps even since last year.
As always, one of the biggest parts of the show were the costumes. A chance for kids to play their favorite superhero, character, or pay tribute to the more traditional disguises. The one time of year for many to let their artistic side shine.
It seems like young parents are just as enthusiastic as the kids about the creativity of this holiday. All around you could see parents who had helped create little monsters and goblins and animals.
With Halloween behind us, most of us will wait till next year to fantasize again. Some, however keep the creativity going all year.
This artistic mother, featured on Bored-Panda, is a perfect example. She is surrounding her child with creative ideas even as he sleeps. From flying through the jungle to floating up to a castle in the sky, becoming a snake charmer or a trapeze in a circus – these scenes really come alive. Seeing them all together is truly magical.
While most may not have the energy to do this all year round, some might draw inspiration for that one night next year. Either way, enjoy!
